Opportunities

The Office of Inclusive Excellence provides a range of opportunities throughout the academic year. Follow our weekly newsletter for trainings, events, resources and opportunities, alongside the on-going initiatives below!

We invite community members to participate in our DEI Learning Community, the CECH Common Read initiative. At each meeting, we will discuss several chapters of the book My Grandmother’s Hands by Resmaa Menakem with reflection questions from the book and outside resources. Meetings will last about an hour.

Please email the CECH Office for Inclusive Excellence at cechoiecp@ucmail.uc.edu if you are interested in being a part of a Learning Community. Please let us know if you need any help getting a book if you have not already done so. We look forward to being a part of this exciting project!

The Inclusive Excellence Collective (IEC) serves as a community building space to foster equity, inclusion, and belonging by creating and sharing educational opportunities and resources; increasing advocacy efforts and using individual influence internally and externally to CECH. The work in this space is done by the people, acting as a group!

This is an open space, which means any faculty or staff member can join and contribute. We have quarterly meetings that last 1.5 hours. If you are interested in joining or have questions about the collective, please contact our team at cechoiecp@ucmail.uc.edu.
