Naomi Cynthia Matley

Naomi Matley is an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Internship Coordinator at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Naomi studied Exercise Science and Psychology at Wingate University. Naomi also served as a 4-year student-athlete, 2014 honorable mention player, representing the Women's Soccer team. Naomi Matley is also a former bearcat and received her Master of Science in Health Education Promotion and Higher Education Leadership at the University of Cincinnati while serving as the Fitness and Wellness Graduate Assistant at the campus recreation center. She has professional experience leading fitness departments at the University of Cincinnati, North Carolina State University and served as the Senior Assistant Director at Purdue University. In those capacities, she trained students how to be certified personal trainers and instructors, facilitated the Exercise is Medicine programs, and renovated fitness spaces to serve students better. She has also worked in fitness corporate leadership capacities with F45 Training HQ and also currently serves as a Partnership Development Manager for FitReserve. Naomi has a lot of diverse management, training, and operations experiences in the fitness industry, as well as a wide network of on-campus, regional, and national connections.
One of Naomi's greatest accomplishments was being selected as one of the twelve women coaches to represent the United States and travel to Brazil as part of the International Sports Programming Initiative by the US Department of State, Girls Rugby, and Women Win - she worked with other coaches on how to strategically develop a plan to assist in eliminating stereotypical gender roles, empower more females to grow their businesses in athletics, and find ways to help low-income families to see the importance of exercise and physical health.
Naomi Matley is a passionate fitness professional with extensive knowledge in exercise physiology, education, sales & marketing, and performance management/business coaching. Naomi has worked in Higher Education and with companies such as FitReserve, F45 Training HQ, RowHouse, LiftLabCo, CrossFit, WomenWin, USA Airforce, and OhioHealth in a number of different capacities.
