Understanding and Using Your Degree Audit
A degree audit is a tool for tracking your academic progress. It includes a checklist of courses required for your major, minor, certificate or other program(s). As you complete courses, the audit updates to show your progress towards meeting degree, college and university requirements.
- Log in to Catalyst.
- Navigate to My Academics > Academic Progress > Get My Degree Audit.
- Click the link for View my advisement report.
- Requirements: Each requirement is listed within a group and tagged as Satisfied or Not Satisfied. Requirement groups are usually collapsed if they have been satisfied and open if they still have items yet to be satisfied.
- Some requirement groups may have multiple courses that need to be completed to fulfill the requirement.
- Some requirement groups may have multiple options of courses that can be completed to fulfill the requirement.
- Courses: Courses taken at UC or transferred from another institution will appear in the relevant requirement group with the semester, grade, and a green check mark to indicate its completion. In-progress courses have a yellow triangle and will be marked as complete when you pass with a satisfactory grade.
- Courses Not Used: Courses not fulfilling specific requirements are listed in a group near the bottom of your audit.
Use your degree audit to identify courses that have not yet been completed. Your academic advisor can help you plan when to take these courses.
If you see something that doesn’t look right, please contact your academic advisor so we can work together to address the issue.
