Shaping Future Educators

The University of Cincinnati’s Secondary Education program is ideal for educators dedicated to enriching the educational experiences of learners at the junior and senior high school levels, grades 7 - 12. In our program, students gain experience teaching in urban and diverse school settings using research-based teaching practices. At the secondary level, students aspiring for secondary education licensure have the flexibility to choose to specialize in one core disciplinary subject: Integrated English/Language Arts, Integrated Mathematics, Integrated Social Studies, Integrated Science, or Physics.

Within our Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, students can tailor their academic journey by choosing from a diverse array of disciplines. These core disciplines are designed to provide a well-rounded and specialized education that caters to the unique needs and interests of future educators. The available subjects include:
