Academic Programs & Opportunities for Students

The Arlitt Center is closely aligned with the Early Childhood Education (Birth-5 Years) Online program, the Elementary (PK-Grade 5) licensure program, and the Human Development and Community Engagement Program. The Arlitt Child Development Center is the University of Cincinnati laboratory preschool, which demonstrates best practice in early childhood education. Arlitt teachers mentor students coming through these programs and many faculty and staff of the Arlitt Center serve as instructors. Arlitt also partners with faculty and graduate students in Educational Studies, Communication Sciences, and School Psychology.

Opportunities for Students:

In addition to the programs above, Arlitt has partnered across disciplines with students and faculty from Art Education, Industrial Design, Environmental Studies, School Psychology, Allied Health and Communication Science Disorders.

If you are interested in volunteering, observing, partnering with an early childhood professional for a special project, or becoming a student worker, please contact Director Mary Beth Wright.
