CAE-C Education Innovation Grant

The School of Information Technology is awarded a "National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (CAE-C) Education Innovation Grant" by the National Security Agency. In this grant, the School of Information Technology will join a coalition of institutions with CAE designations to provide workshops and short courses to train CAE faculty who are teaching cybersecurity courses. 

In addition, the School of IT will provide scholarship for UC students and students from other CAEs in the nation to take a Data Driven Cybersecurity Graduate Certificate. The certificate consists of four 7000-level IT courses below:

IT7020 Principles of Cybersecurity 

IT7021 Enterprise Network Forensics 

IT7071 Machine Learning and Data Mining for IT

IT7075 Data Driven Cybersecurity 

The credits earned in the certificate can be counted toward the Master of Science in IT (MSIT) degree. The certificate has been approved by the School of Information Tehcnology faculty and the UC Graduate Committee. This scholarship will pay full or partial tuition for students to take the four courses through the fall of 2022. 

The certificate scholarship application has closed for the spring of 2022.  It will reopen in June for the fall semester of 2022.
