Student Organizations

The University of Cincinnati encourages students to actively participate in extracurricular activities around campus.

Currently, there are over 250 student groups registered with the university. These organizations focus on a variety of topics such as academics, athletics, creative arts, cultural and ethnic issues, politics and professional development. Whether it's playing on one of UC's nationally ranked sports teams or broadcasting from UC's Bearcast radio station, students have many opportunities to get involved. CECH Student Organizations

Alpha Phi Sigma is the only National Criminal Justice Honor Society (Fraternity) for criminal  justice majors. We recognize academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students of criminal justice, as well as juris doctorate.

Come join the UC ASL Club and learn more about the Deaf culture and community. The UC ASL Club is a safe and friendly organization for students to learn American Sign Language. Involvement in the UC ASL Club will help improve students' signing skills and knowledge about Deaf culture.

Tribunal strives to help students become an integral part of the college community and assists and empowers students to have a voice within the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. The CECH Tribunal connects students with opportunities to make a difference on the UC Campus and within the Cincinnati community.

Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and gifted children, as well as those typically developing.

Eta Sigma Gamma is an honorary society for health educators in which we strive to affect behavioral change on the University of Cincinnati's campus through group initiatives and awareness raising.

UC's FEA chapter is dedicated to fostering the love of teaching, examining the reality of teaching, and promoting the rewards of teaching.

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) represents graduate students from all programs in the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services (CECH) at the University of Cincinnati.

The purpose of the Information Technology Student Association (ITSA) is to build networking among students interested in information technology, promote currency in technology trends and increase awareness of technology among many other things. Click here to find out more!

Kappa Delta Pi is a prestigious international Honor Society that recognizes scholarship and excellence in the field of education. Members must have a college GPA of at least 3.0 for undergraduate students or 3.25 for graduate students. KDP members work on several volunteer activities that focus on education.

The LSLS GSA is an organization of students enrolled in a postgraduate program in Literacy and Second Language Studies at the University of Cincinnati. Our goal is to provide members with opportunities for professional and academic development and to build a community of LSLS professionals.

The Middle Childhood Education Society helps future educators and the general public understand the challenges facing middle school aged children.

The Society of Sports Leaders primary interests lie in the activities of sport administration and management, and the group focuses on work ethic, volunteerism, and leadership in the sport business environment.

The Student Ambassador Program represents CECH at UC by assisting with the recruitment and retention of students in the College. CECH Student Ambassadors help represent the student perspective of university life to prospective and new students.

SEYC helps students prepare to enter the teaching profession as early childhood educators.

        The Criminal Justice Society is a student-sponsored organization designed to enhance the         educational experience of those interested in criminal justice and criminal behavior.

Chi Sigma Iota is an international honor society that values academic and professional excellence in counseling. We promote a strong professional identity through members (professional counselors, counselor educators, and students) who contribute to the realization of a healthy society by fostering wellness and human dignity.

        The mission of the WiCyS UC Student Chapter is to build a community within the University of         Cincinnati that promotes women’s education, participation, and leadership in the field of         cybersecurity.

The mission of Women in Information Technology (WIT) is to provide many different opportunities to Women in the IT program at UC.
