The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity will prepare graduates for one of the fastest growing careers in computing. Students will learn both theories and hands-on skills of software and hardware security tools to design secure systems and protect enterprise information and network assets. Students will gain expertise in investigating computer related crimes and identifying the resources exploited by cyber-criminals and terrorists. They also will learn how to apply standards, models, and best practices to solve real world issues and draft security policies to mitigate risks and threats of today’s IT infrastructure. The Cybersecurity degree focuses on practical skills that are required by IT security professional positions, including but not limited to vulnerability analyst, incident response specialist, penetration tester, intrusion detection specialist, and secure code auditor


Undergraduate Programs

Our Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity is offered in both onsite and online options.

  • Graduates of the Cybersecurity program will be prepared to gain employment as a Cybersecurity professional.
  • Graduates of the Cybersecurity program will function effectively as individuals and team members in the workplace, growing into highly technical or project management and leadership roles.
  • Graduates of the Cybersecurity program will pursue life-long learning, and obtain the tools to successfully identify and adapt to ever changing technologies.
  • Graduates of the Cybersecurity program, if they are inclined, will be able to continue their formal education and be accepted to relevant graduate degree programs and succeed in these studies.

Graduates of the program will have an ability to:

  1. Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
  2. Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline.
  3. Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
  4. Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.
  5. Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline.
  6. Apply security principles and practices to maintain operations in the presence of risks and threats
