The IT Expo is an annual event for information technology students, practitioners, and researchers to demonstrate their latest solutions to individuals, organizational, or societal challenges. There are several components of the IT Expo: projects by graduating seniors of bachelor programs, projects by high school students, research projects by Master’s and PhD students, and Innovative projects by partner companies. The IT Expo traces its roots to the Cincinnati Industrial Exposition of the late 19th century. Most recently, the OMI College of Applied Science Tech Expo started featuring Information Technology projects at the start of the 21st century. In 2011, The first IT Expo took place in the hallways of the Teachers building at the University of Cincinnati. The IT Expo continued to grow since then into an event that occupied one of UC’s largest indoor event spaces hosting more than 1,000 attendees with keynotes from industry leaders. The event is organized by the School of Information Technology and takes place annually on the second Tuesday of April. The IT Expo celebrates and showcases the accomplishments of information technology students, researchers, and practitioners.

The IT Expo is open to everyone! Whether you are an IT professional, IT student, or just interested in technology, the IT Expo is an event for all to explore projects focused on Cloud Solutions, Infrastructure and Networking Solutions, Cybersecurity, Mobile Development, Application Development, Virtual Reality and Gaming, and Data Management and Analysis.
