Dr. Peg Elgas, Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education, has served as a member of the faculty of the University of Cincinnati since 1989. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education, Dr. Elgas earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois. She then received her doctorate in Child Development and Developmental Psychology from the Ohio State University. Dr. Elgas is the co-author of the book Blending Theory, Blending Practice and the author of numerous articles published in Young Children, Early Childhood Research Quarterly, and the Journal of Research in Childhood Education. Dr. Elgas has also been a United States delegate as part of an Ohio State Study Group tour of Reggio Emilia, Italy, in both 1994 and 1999.
