The Sport Administration curriculum focus is on the business side of the sport industry and was developed to meet the standards of the Sport Management Program Review Council. The Sport Administration program provides graduates with a strong technical foundation and the sport business skills necessary to successfully enter the field of sport management.
Sport Administration is a 250 billion dollar industry. Given the economic magnitude and pervasive nature of sport administration in society, the need has never been greater for educated/trained sport managers. However, competition is fierce for entry-level positions within sport administration. Those with the best education have the best opportunity to obtain a position and be successful. Sport Administration students will have an opportunity to earn a career-oriented degree with employment opportunities in a growing industry.
Tony Croslin, a Spring 2016 graduate from the Sport Administration Program, received a Community Outreach internship with the Kansas City Chiefs. At the conclusion of his internship, Tony was offered a temporary position at the Chiefs training camp. Here he shares his real world experience.
