We are a course of study within CECH, proudly offering a Bachelors of Science in American Signed Language Interpreting. We offer two tracks: a four year on-campus program for those interested in becoming American Signed Language interpreters; as well as a second, two-year distance learning program for those already possessing an Associate level degree in Interpreter Training. Our goal is to support working interpreters to build on existing interpreting skills in an online format and to educate aspiring students through an on-campus, four-year course of study to become sign language interpreters.
Here at the University of Cincinnati, we are not only focused on student success, but providing a vigorous course of study founded in current theories and practice in the field of interpreting and beyond.
We offer a variety of options including:
- Bachelors of Science in American Signed Language Interpreting
- Completely online option for bachelor’s degree for recent associate interpreting program graduates and working interpreters
- Deaf Studies Certificate
- American Sign Language classes for foreign language credit
