Health Education (Exercise and Fitness)
Our Master of Science in Health Education, with a concentration in Exercise Management, is for those interested and committed toward helping others in the community lead healthier lives. It has been designed for students who want to work as health educators in fitness-related settings such as corporate or commercial health/fitness centers, YMCAs, recreation departments, and more. Students will have their choice of a culminating experience including thesis or extended internship. The program is grounded in current research and evidence-based practices in the field of health promotion and health education. Our graduates have earned full-time positions throughout the US.

By graduation, you will be able to:
- Work as a health educator in community health settings
- Receive the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) credential after passing the national exam
- Complete exercise specific certifications offered by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), American Council on Exercise (ACE), and National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
This degree can also be beneficial if you are looking to pursue doctoral level training.
