IT Professor Receives $100,000 Grant from Ohio Third Frontier TVSF
Associate Professor Vali Tadayon received a grant for his project, Always UC.
The Ohio Third Frontier Technology Validation and Start-Up Fund program (TVSF) has awarded Professor Vali Tadayon a $100,000 grant for his year-long project titled “Always UC.” The goal of the Ohio Third Frontier/TVSF is to create greater economic growth in Ohio through start-up companies that commercialize technologies developed by Ohio institutions of higher education, other Ohio not-for-profit research institutions, and federal labs located in Ohio. Tadayon’s project will take place from June 12, 2017 to June 11, 2018. The breakdown of the grant includes $50,000 from Third Frontier/TVSF and $50,000 from UC Match, for a total of $100,000. After successful implementation, Tadayon is eligible for the next round of grants of up to $1 million.
