Attorney General Mike DeWine Visits CECH for Signing Ceremony

Mike DeWine

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, the Madiera Chief of Police, and School of Criminal Justice Director, Ed Latessa will attend a signing ceremony today, November 1, 2017, in the Teachers-Dyer Atrium at 1:30pm. The ceremony is to symbolize a merger between the State of Ohio, the Madiera Police Department, and the UC Institute of Crime Science (ICS) surrounding an analytics and visualization platform that helps predict violent crime and opioid overdoses. ICS researchers, Dan Gerard, Murant Ozer, and Cory Haberman developed this tool, which will be merged with the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway (OHLEG) system, currently used by 286 police departments in Ohio.

The ceremony is open to all. Congratulations to the School of Criminal Justice and the Institute of Crime Science!
