School of Education Alum Receives Outstanding Mentor Award

The Ohio Association of Teacher Educators (OATE) has selected Special Education teacher Mary Cline as a recipient of the Outstanding Mentor Award for 2016.  OATE is a professional association that promotes programs that strive toward the preparation of teachers in any environment.  The organization focuses on the interdependence of the educational system in Ohio, providing individual professional development opportunities for teachers.  Cline is an alumni of the School of Education, graduating in 1981.  She has been a teacher for Cincinnati Public Schools for over 30 years, and is seen by her colleagues as “a dedicated professional who loves what she does,” leaving an “impact that is beyond measure.”  Cline was recognized for this award at a ceremonial luncheon on March 31, 2016.
