The exhibition, “CYE moves to UC: Past, Present and Future,” explores the history and multidisciplinary reach of the journal Children, Youth and Environments (CYE), which also celebrates the publication’s transition from the University of Colorado to the University of Cincinnati in January, 2016. The goal of CYE is to promote inclusive, sustainable, and healthy environments for children and youth. The exhibition will highlight the journal’s rich history, spotlight prominent articles, the global photo library collection, and feature current initiatives on UC’s campus.
Two out of the three CYE Co-Editors are CECH’s very own Dr. Victoria Carr and Dr. Rhonda Brown. Dr. Carr is Professor of ECEHD and Executive Director of the Arlitt Center for Education, Research, & Sustainability. Dr. Brown is an Associate Professor in the School of Education. Their partnership with Dr. Vikas Mehta (DAAP) has led to the upcoming showcase of their exhibit in the Philip M. Myers, Jr. Memorial Gallery from September 4-October 2, 2016. The Meyers Gallery is housed in the Steger Student Life Center on the University of Cincinnati Clifton Campus and is open Sundays-Thursdays 10-5.
