CECH honored three outstanding alumni at the CECH Distinguished Alumni Celebration, Sunday, Sept. 21, in the Annie Laws Drawing Room at Teachers College.

Dr. Donna Mayerson
M.Ed., Special Education, ‘78
A licensed counseling psychologist and special educator, Dr. Donna Mayerson is a champion for children, particularly those with disabilities and special needs. With Mayerson’s support, the Transition and Access Program at CECH, which offers students with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to have a fully inclusive college experience, has experienced tremendous growth. >>Read more…
Dr. Christopher R. Taylor
Ph.D. ’83 & M.Ed. , School Psychology, ‘78
Dr. Christopher R. Taylor has had a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in school psychology. Retired from Cincinnati Public Schools in 2012, Taylor remains active with the district as a consultant and mentor, ensuring children have access to essential services. >>Read More…

Following four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, Jim Hay pursued a career in Information Technology. Working with Fortune 100 companies and high tech startups alike, Hay successfully aligns IT strategies to community and organizational business objectives and helps organizations adopt and utilize new systems and technologies. Awarded annually, the Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest acknowledgement awarded to alumni of the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. Nominations for the award are accepted year-round, however, they are reviewed once a year in the fall.
