For University of Cincinnati alumnus Casey Tritt, software development resembles an adult Lego set. “I love to build things that provide something useful and productive for others,” he said of software development.

After leaving military service in 2009, Tritt dedicated all of his resources to furthering his education.  He specifically chose the UC Information Technology program because of its terrific reputation and ABET accreditation. Tritt completed his B.S. in Information Technology in 2012.

“The top-notch education and experience I received at UC, along with my passion for developing mobile applications, helped me land my dream job right out of college,” Tritt said.

Thanks to the real-world experience he gained through his two co-ops with GE and his senior design project, Tritt was hired to be a mobile applications developer at Total Quality Logistics (TQL), a transportation brokerage firm in Cincinnati.

TQL took notice when Tritt presented his senior project at his interview. “The senior design project is one of the reasons I chose UC.  The year-long project showcased my interests and abilities and put into action everything I learned through UC’s excellent curriculum and faculty. ”

Now Tritt “plays with Legos” every day and enjoys the challenge of developing useful mobile applications for his employer, affiliated carriers, and customers.

“Software development is always changing, and it’s always challenging. Professionally, I am doing exactly what I love for a great organization. I could not have picked a better fit.”
