UC’s Information Technology Department Sees Strong Success in Securing Partnerships

Collaboration with organizations expands opportunities for students, faculty, and industry                                                                                                                  

The Department of Information Technology in UC’s College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services continues to secure partnerships with regional organizations and demonstrate its commitment to bridging coursework with practical industry application. Part of the Department’s vision outlined in its IT2019 strategic plan, strong partnerships with industry leaders helps strengthen and increase students’ opportunities for well-rounded, real-world work experience.

Recently, the Department of IT has signed partnerships with CBTS and Cardinal Solutions. CBTS’ Vice President of Technical Operations Dave Burns and UC CECH Dean Lawrence J. Johnson signed the agreement on Oct. 4, establishing a relationship to contribute to the ever-changing world of information technology. CBTS combines the data networking capabilities of Cincinnati Bell with next-generation managed services that provide companies with flexible solutions for end-to-end IT deployment.  

The agreement with Cardinal Solutions was inked on Oct. 21 at Cardinal Solutions’ Cincinnati office. As a national IT solutions provider with headquarters in Cincinnati and offices in Columbus, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Tampa, Cardinal’s growth is driven by solutions such as mobile, user experience and design, cloud, agile, social and business intelligence.
