Mary Schmidt, Current Student

"Obtaining my CDA from UC was one of the smartest and easiest choices I've made for my career. Although I've been teaching Pre-K for several years already, I learned new ideas and strategies to build my confidence and efficiency in the classroom. All of the new information motivated me to educate myself further, working towards my associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, which was an effortless transition."

~ Mary Schmidt, current ECE Online student

CDA Options

We are pleased to offer two options for completing the coursework for your initial CDA credential. The option you choose depends on how you wish to pay for your coursework. Regardless of the option you choose, you still get Advanced Standing Credit into our Associate's degree program!

Option 1:

CDA Credit Bearing Classes forming for August, 2017

Use your CDA for College Credit in the AAS program

When you enroll as an official University of Cincinnati student to complete your CDA coursework, you will be entitled to all of the benefits and resources available to traditional on-campus learners. You will receive College Credit and advanced standing in the Associate's Degree Program for your completed CDA coursework. In choosing this option, you will also be eligible for federal financial aid.

For more information on admission requirements, deadlines, and how to apply to UC, please visit the Admissions page. Standard UC Tuition rates apply, and the courses will appear on your transcript.

Option 2:

CDA Workshop Classes Forming for August 21, 2017

Use your CDA for workshop credit only

Our CDA Workshop contains the same information and provides the same number of training hours at a fraction of the cost of enrolling as a UC student. Although you will not be an official UC student with UC benefits or have a transcript from UC, you will still receive advanced standing credit into our Associate's Degree Program. Please note financial aid is not avilable for this option.

The cost of the workshop is $999.00 per student (plus the cost of books - which is approximately $70). We offer a discount of $100 per student for centers who enroll 5 or more students into the same CDA workshop session. This workshop model is not eligible for  federal financial aid. Payment for this option can be made by check, credit card, or invoice to your employer, and can also be paid all at once or in three easy payments.
