About

Our Masters in Special Education is the perfect fit if you are enthusiastic about working with children and adults with disabilities.  Through education, community awareness and ecologically based service delivery, the focus of special education is to enhance and better the lives of all individuals with disabilities.  Some graduates of our special education program work as advocates and/or case managers for social agencies.  This course is completely online.

Program Objectives

By graduation, you will be able to provide services in the field of special education include K-12 education, rehabilitation for occupational development and daily independence, community-based case management, disability advocacy, school and individualized consultation services and various other services related to individuals with disabilities and their families.

Accreditation

The Special Education program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

The School of Education is ranked among the top 50 schools in the nation for the Special Education program (College Factual).

The University of Cincinnati and all regional campuses are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
