The CECH Office of Development and Alumni Affairs works in conjunction with the University of Cincinnati Foundation to raise, receive, record and disburse gifts and grants from private (non-government) sources. The UC Foundation assures donors that their gifts are being used in accord with their intentions.
UC is a state university, why does it need private support?
State and federal appropriations constitute only a portion of the university's income. The rest comes from internal sources like tuition and fees, and gifts from alumni and friends. State support of universities continues to decline, so private support is critical to UC’s growth.

Can I choose the program that receives my gift?
Your gift can benefit a specific UC program, department or college. You may also make a gift without a designation. Undesignated gifts allow us to use the gift to meet urgent College needs.
What are the top needs in CECH?
Check out the CECH giving priorities section of this site for a list of the top needs of the College. Please note gifts to any program or fund are welcome.
Are there benefits to my giving?
Absolutely. You are helping educate the world's future leaders, as well as making a lasting impact on the University. Your gift adds value to your own degree, ensuring that UC maintains its reputation of excellence. Donors who give at the $1,000+ level annually also receive recognition as part of our 1905 Society.
